Sixty percent of students will take six years to complete a bachelor’s degree at an average cost of $152,922 (not including lost income and accumulated interest over the life of a loan).* These expenditures of time and money become even more significant when considering the speed at which jobs are changing due to automation and marketplace trends.  

A recent report showed that 33% of skills listed in a typical job posting in 2017 were no longer necessary in 2021. 

That means that, by the time it takes most students to complete a bachelor’s degree, nearly 1/3 of the skills they gained could be deemed “unnecessary” by the job market they face upon graduation.**
